In-Character Information
Name:
Jack Atlas/Aslla Piscu (note: do not call him Aslla Piscu)
Series: Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds (AU)
Canon-Point: Post Dark Signers (After the six month timeskip)
History: For events prior the Dark Signers, see here (JAPANESE, NOT DUB!!); however, there are key differences even there.

Three years prior the events of the series, Jack was part of a four-man gang known as 'Team Satisfaction', spearheaded by 'Kyousuke Kiryu', and accompanied by his friends and arguable foster brothers Crow Hogan, and Yuusei Fudou. At this time however, Satisfaction had come to its end; after successfully uniting Satellite under their power, Kiryu's paranoia in regard to losing grip of the place grew into an obsession driving all but Yuusei away from him.

For a short time, he didn't bother wondering what had happened to them- at least until Crow came before him in a panic, saying that Yuusei needed their help; Kiryu was intending to attack Sector Security.

In a sense they were too late- Kiryu had already bombed at least one building in his strike. However that did not mean they could not prevent him from doing worse, right? Yuusei left Kiryu to them, and left to deal with Security, likely intending to turn himself in to take his place. He didn't like it- however he didn't argue it.

However Security found and bound them nonetheless, wanting only Kiryu. As he was taken away the officers laughed and spat in their faces, giving them mocking congratulations and patting a yet unbound Yuusei's shoulder with sneering grins as their friend stiffened and growled under the touch.

That was not what Kiryu saw.

'Traitor!' he roared when he caught sight of Yuusei's 'congratulations', and in response Yuusei had looked to him with wide and stunned eyes. 'YOU TRAITOR!' he roared, and the next instant it passed all too quickly.

Yuusei ran for Kiryu. The officers, in panic, fumbled for their weapons to defend against the attack, and-

-BAOUN!-

Yuusei Fudo died.

He would leave to far reaches of Satellite to live on his own after that. He blamed Kiryu in his mind but a few months after Yuusei died, so did the facility Kiryu was kept within wipe itself from the face of the earth, removing another old friend from it as well.

Not wishing to see anyone else die, it was only natural that when given the chance to leave it behind, he take it. Yet in the end the past caught up to him regardless; two years after arriving in Neo Domino the Fortune Cup would occur, and as three signers other than himself were revealed he would face the tournament's champion and win only after sustaining more than grave injury against the 'Black Rose Witch'. He would be reminded, somehow, of the events in Satellite that he had been unable to prevent.

Not long after, when Kiryu appeared before him in robes of black and blue, speaking of a 'living' Yuusei Fudou, he would be reminded even further of the past. And it disturbed him- angered him, one could say.

When he dueled Kiryu, his arm had already been broken. Someone had to duel in his place.

Someone named 'Carly'. Carly would, over the time they spent together, convince him that letting go of the past wasn't at all what he thought. That to accept the past and move on was better, that to learn from the past and live on was what 'coping' was.

And then Carly had died in the destruction of the Arcadia building, as two Dark Signers appeared.

He would attempt to find the giant then, he had told himself, yet instead he came to the tower of the hummingbird. And yet instead of some unknown opponent for him to face he would find himself greeted by a reborn 'Carly', overshadowed and twisted by the presence of a darker god.

He would break her from that, somehow. Yet when that happened, he realized...

He couldn't simply leave her to die alone. There was no way for the Dark Signers to come back after all. He couldn't leave her.

So he tied.

What Jack did not realize however was that the Earthbound Gods had both a contingency and a 'priority'; in the event of a tie, they did not die like the other. And with the deal that Carly had taken from Aslla Piscu, the god had another idea of how things would progress.

An idea taken from another of the gods, who had already succeeded in this. For in the event of the Gods death, they would be sealed within the earth, there was no doubt of this; however Ccapac-Apu had formed a pact with his Dark Signer, cleverly guessing that the Crimson Dragon would revive his servant should the battle go to the dragon's side. He revived Yuusei through his own power, creating a 'body' on the spiritual plane that they would both share, a body which he would soon easily overpower and make his.

A body which, due to its still slightly present connection to the living realm, could be risen from the earth even after the 'war' was over.

Aslla Piscu chose to skip the initial step of an initial bond however, choosing to revive through Jack's being while still retaining his connection to the card body. This, in the end, was his mistake.

Yuusei had been dead for months, watching Kiryu devolve into insanity and being left unheard and unseen. Yuusei had fallen into despair, and had not realized what powers were speaking to his friend from the great beyond.

Yuusei had not been prepared to defend himself against the likes of Ccapac Apu.

However when Jack Atlas 'saw' before him the figure of the hummingbird, he knew what he looked to. He knew that what spoke to him was not of his own mind. And so with the drive to fulfill his unknowingly shattered duties as signer, he overwhelmed Aslla Piscu's influence completely- going so far as to crush it within his figurative grasp and devour it.

Jack Atlas did not realize what had happened when he opened his eyes from the resulting explosion of energy, Carly watching in confusion from the side. He did not realize what it meant as he numbly and blindly grabbed at the Red Daemon's card to feel a sting in his fingers, thinking only of running to the tower to seal it. His stumbling legs were the fault of injury in his mind, and nothing else mattered. The card sealed the tower, and he ran out-

And saw before him, his own body.

There was no time to mourn himself back then. He and Carly flew to join with the others, the woman accepted among them despite her status as Dark Signer if only due to his own 'damned' existence now. And when Rex Godwin arose before them it was three he would initially face, before the third joined the second as a monster on the field.

And when the Crimson Dragon would restore his marks to the others, including the wings that had briefly passed on to Crow, he would feel a tug at the bond he yet held with Carly due to his status as god. A gentle pull, almost a polite request even.

He would accept that request- and below him, Carly's body would fill with light, the wings Crow held replaced with the head, as the mark that had once been his appeared over Carly's arm instead.

Rex Godwin would fall.

In the aftermath, a whole slew of issues would make way for a chaotic recovery. He was still there after all; even Mikage could still see him, however different he appeared.

However she and the Signers were by far an exception to the norm.

So a 'will' was created, in a sense. Possessions passed on to others, onto friends, and onto Carly as well. And perhaps if the public outcry against it had not been so strong, nothing further would have happened, but when they demanded proof of her right to these things she would be forced into a duel.

So she would duel for them. She would duel, and she would win, and in the process find herself quite awkwardly taking the position he had once held in life. It figured really- 'Duel Queen'. It truly figured.

He could no longer touch the Red Daemon's card, and so it was hers. Despite this however, it seemed as though the Crimson Dragon had exacted some form of mercy when restoring his marks, preventing the grating and pained reaction that his touch and presence would have granted with this form at any other time.

But with six months having passed from the events of the war, and all but one of the 'revived' Dark Signers accounted for, it seems only now that Jack has been left to truly think on what happened.

To think, in quiet, when no others can see him-

He's dead.
Personality: There were already rather key differences between Jack Atlas and his canon self, however it's only now, with his revival as the 'Hummingbird' that this is particularly apparent. Traits he still holds similar to canon tend to be the positive ones, though he's far closer to Carly regardless; he's still got quite a hair-trigger temper when it comes to the matter of pride and honor, and also ramen. However his pride has been somewhat humbled by his existence as a 'god' strangely enough, most likely due to the fact that he's almost entirely invisible to the world.

For the most part, he tried to pretend that this didn't bother him; in his world he acted as though it was even fun, forcing such a facade for the others with the sort of excitement he used to display in the golden days of Satisfaction. If he had still been alive, the reality would be that he was the sort who enjoyed duels and coffee, and valued a damn-good show of power in a match; the sort of person who had a habit to get caught up in the moment, rushing without thinking. Yet additionally the sort who grew quiet when his rage passed a certain point, or when events conspired that he took a moment to think over them.

His 'serious' side was already emphasized by Yuusei's death. What use was being the King if he was king of nothing? He only wanted to forget all that had happened, and what had happened refused to allow him that, which plagued him with well hidden paranoia when it came to the safety of others. He became somewhat withdrawn, revealing his inner thoughts and desires to very few- one of these few would be Carly, and her death shook him even further.

And then he died. And with that, came the absorption of all the memories of Aslla Piscu.

He can appear happy if he wants. He can appear to be the proud grinning man he would have been more than once in canon, when he wants to.

However he is far from it in reality; his death has shaken him entirely. He will now out'live' everyone he knows, and possibly even see them reincarnated without any recollection of him, or resemblance to their former selves. He bears now a power that could rend mountains into nothing but a pile of gravel, and all the knowledge of how.

And that's honestly terrifying. So in all actuality, he's become rather morose; he has an 'awareness' that his canon counterpart lacks, a knowledge that he quite frankly prefers not to think about. So he stuffs all of that to the back of his mind and while he can get dangerously quiet when he's alone he typically tries to combine the facade of the grinning god-king with his actual interests. Meeting others is quite new for him regardless though, as it's been six months since he could... So the facade may well become more of reality than he thought.

Powers: As the 'successor' to the position as the Hummingbird God, his powers in his realm were more than accurate to the title 'god'. What with him being 'capped down' by Unova however, the powers seem to have not only diminished, but also shifted;

Prior, he tended to shrink down when he got flustered, a strange reactionary trait he's yet to figure out. This will still happen, in fact. On the other end of the shapeshifting spectrum, he'd ordinarily be able to take the full, gigantic form of the hummingbird god- if he tries now, the size reverses, and the more 'hummingbird'-like he tries to become, the smaller he'll be, until he's about the size of a pidgey.

Aside from that he has more than impressive night vision, strength that still rivals most, and his clawed arms can open into wings to allow flight (though in the end, he'd prefer to walk, as flight is more exhausting.).

He also gets sunburnt a bit easier than most- 'god of darkness' and all that, though since the Hummingbird represented the sun as well, it's not that bad.

Lastly claws. Also talons. He has both of them, along with rather impressive vocal cords, and no de-powering in the world will save you from claws-talons-excruciatingly loud noises.

Bonus powers... Of sorts. Being a 'hummingbird' in a sense now, he's able to more or less understand bird pokemon. It's certainly not a direct translation, but he can get a basic understanding; they're also quite attracted to him, which is a shame, since he has no interest in most Bird Pokemon at all.
Starter Pokemon: Tepig! BECAUSE IT'LL BE FIRE AND FIGHTING and canon relevance, gO-
Writing Samples
First-Person Sample:

[The transceiver clicks and the sight of some being entirely black in colour (save a few glowing orange markers) appears on the screen- though he's not alone. In fact this is probably the largest gathering of Natu you will hope to ever see.]

AAAAGGH-!

[They're all swarming at Jack.] Get off! All of you!!

[This flailing continues quite a bit-] OFF!!

NaaaaAAAA~

GETOFF-

TUUUUUuuUUU~

HAAAAAAHHHH-! [For a moment it looks like he's going to take drastic measures- in the end however, he crosses his arms and sits, the Natu swarming happily around him.]

Ridiculous..! [He huffs almost childishly as the birds chitter around him.] I have nothing to do with you things!

Naaaa tuuu naaaaaaaaa~

And I am not your 'king'!

Naaaaaaa~

I AM NOT YOUR 'GOD' EITHER!

Tuuuuuu~

GH-... [In the end, he seems to have just given in and continued sulking as the birds chitter.]

Third-Person Sample:

One could debate until the end of time whether or not he needed sleep (or at least as long as they were alive), but he himself certainly figured he did. It took a while to figure out the sleeping arrangements in a way that didn't end with him ripping the sheets with his feet during the night, mind, but regardless.

When he opened his eyes, he was met with trees.

As a whole that was already a strange sight, given Neo Domino's fair lack of most trees thereof, but as he snapped to his senses he realized just what else was off.

He was in a forest like none he'd ever seen (or could even remember, which was admittedly very impressive), last he'd checked he'd been in bed, which meant-

Which meant the Entralink Man would have his attentions snapped to the south end of the wood by a loud 'CARLY!!!!' that sounded more than worried.

"What in the name of Arceus!?" the man shouted as he came around the corner, only to freeze at the sight of the one before him. Skin blacker than the darkest of shadows and clothes to match he stood, with glowing eyes and markings of an orange hue. From the end of the long sleeves of his tunic could be seen claws- as for his legs, the looked like birds legs. "Well," the man would mutter. "I've seen some strange things before but-"

"MN? You can see me!?"

The entralink man would regret answering 'yes' quite soon, as he would suddenly be assailed by a series of loud 'where is this!?' 'Where's Carly?' 'How did I get here!?' 'How can you see me!?' and many other questions.

In the end he would be quite glad to see the odd 'man' become distracted with the tepig-

At least before 'Jack Atlas' as he was apparently called, chose to question him further on the tepig itself.
